Course Description
This 3-day course will give participants tools and approaches for refining and expanding their consulting techniques to support organizations that want to adopt and implement the eSCM-SP. Successful completion of this course (and its prerequisites) entitles participants to be listed as an eSCM-SP Qualified Consultant on the ITSqc website. It is important to understand that the involvement of third-party resources and services will help you put together a bunch of opinions and look objectively at the topic or performance.
As part of this course, participants will receive the course notebook, supplemental readings, and the course text, "Process Mapping, Process Improvement, and Process Management."
  • Sponsorship and goals for eSCM-SP based improvement
  • Starting points for eSCM-SP improvements
  • Coordination with other ongoing improvement programs
  • Organizing and staffing eSCM-SP implementations
  • Key eSCM-SP implementation milestones and measures
  • eSCM-SP process deployment plans
There are three overall learning objectives for this course:
  1. To use guided case studies to practice applying process implementation skills in an eSCM-SP context.
  2. To prepare consultants for the activities required to guide successful implementations of the eSCM-SP Practices.
  3. To convey the unique opportunities and challenges of eSCM-SP implementations, assuming a basic understanding of consulting skills process improvement.

Who Should Attend

Individuals who will be assisting their own or other organizations to adopt and implement the eSourcing Capability Model for Service Providers (eSCM-SP).


Previous consulting experience is required for all course participants. Successful completion of the eSourcing Capability Model for Service Providers and eSCM Capability Determination Methods courses is also required. Participation on at least one eSCM-SP Capability Determination as a team member is highly recommended, but not required. Additionally, an application providing a description of previous experience is required and will be sent to interested applicants upon receipt of their course registration form.
